Welcome to the home page for the O'Fallon Sunrise Rotary.  We are an enthusiastic group of professionals, or retired professionals meeting early in the morning and opening with a song.

We have had some pretty dynamic speakers of late.  In November, we were fortunate enough to have Maryann Reese, CEO of St. Elizabeth Hospital as our speaker.  She shared with us her thoughts on why St. Elizabeth was planning to build a new facility in O'Fallon and she also shared many details of her background and that she has rotary in her history.

Then in December we had Becky Hughes from the O'Fallon YMCA give a presentation of the Jefferson Street tutoring program that is sponsored by the Y and the Redeemer Community Church headed by Rotarian and Pastor Rusty Moseley.

For our first meeting in February, the FBI sent us an expert on cyber-security in what is becoming the number one threat to America and to us individually in the future.  Not nearly enough time could be given to this topic, and we are sure to have Chris Trifilletti back to talk more on this very relevant topic and the dangers it poses through social network forums such as Facebook and the use of smart phones, etc.

Annually, our Sunrise Rotary Club recognizes the Public Servants of the Year for O'Fallon with a plaque and small token of our appreciation.  In the above picture Jeff Tomlinson current president is flanked by Fire Chief Brent Saunders and Police Chief John Betten in honoring, from left to right, EMT of the Year - Steve Niemeier, Firefighter of the Year - Brad White, Policeman of the Year Mike Mojzis, and Public Safety Civilian of the Year - Clara Harrison

                                           County Assessor - Jennifer Minton

In February, we were fortunate enough to hear from our St. Clair County Assessor, Jennifer Minton.  We learned that O'Fallon Township will be getting reassessed starting in April for the first time in many years.

One of our meetings in March had the total club participating in packing book bags filled with coloring books and crayons and safety prevention tips for the kids at the Violence Prevention Center and for 3d graders in the local community:
